Six More Diabetes Genes Discovered

An assortment of acclaimed researchers in the recent days have found six more genes making people susceptible to the development of type 2 diabetes, as a part of the course which they hope to put an end to and treat the chronic condition. To them the new finding extends the number of genes to 16 making a way for the people to understand how biological mechanisms go askew when people get type 2 diabetes.

To their estimation the very type 2 diabetes happens to be among 90 percent of all diabetes cases and apart from this is also closely linked to obesity and physical inactivity. Even the World Health Organization estimates that more than 180 million people worldwide have diabetes -- a number likely to more than double by 2030.
